Shortly after D-Day, British platoon leader Saul and his corporal arrive at a remote Normandy farmhouse, where Saul meets Belle. Their growing relationship is tested when three French Resistance members accuse Belle of collaborating with the Nazis, bringing the pressures of wartime into sharp focus.
