Horton Hears a Who! (2008) is a vibrant animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic story, directed by Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino. Jim Carrey voices Horton, a kind-hearted elephant who discovers a tiny civilization called Whoville living on a speck of dust. Despite ridicule from his fellow jungle animals, Horton is determined to protect the Whos, led by their eccentric mayor (Steve Carell). As the skeptical world around him tries to silence his belief, Horton stands by his motto: “A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
