As they evade the authorities and navigate their own personal struggles, Freedom explores themes of rebellion, longing, and the search for meaning. With stunning Australian landscapes and a moody synth-driven soundtrack by Don Walker of Cold Chisel, the film remains a cult classic of early '80s Australian cinema.
