Sam Wexler's not having a great day! Hungover and late for an important meeting with an editor at a major publishing house Sam (Josh Radnor) watches elplessly as a young child gets separated
from his family on the subway. Unable to locate the missing family Sam takes the boy to his meeting (which - surprise surprise doesn't
go well!) and eventually upon learning that he's just been placed in his seventh foster home takes him back to his apartment.
Then there's Sam's best friends: Annie (Malin Ackerman) who's stricken with two ailments; an auto immune disorder which renders
her hairless and a taste in men who confirm her worst fears about herself and Charlie (Pablo Schrieber) and Mary Catherine (Zoe Kazan) a loving couple who are arguing about whether to
move from New York to Los Angeles (he wants to go she'd rather gouge her eyes out with a butter knife).
And finally there's Mississippi (Kate Mara) a singer who catches Sam's eye but fears he might be the latest in a long line of disastrous decisions she's made when it comes to romance.
