The Game (1997) is a tense psychological thriller from director David Fincher, starring Michael Douglas as Nicholas Van Orton, a wealthy but emotionally detached investment banker. On his birthday, his estranged brother (Sean Penn) gives him an unusual gift—an invitation to participate in a mysterious, high-stakes game run by an enigmatic company called CRS. At first, the experience seems like an elaborate form of entertainment, but soon, Nicholas’ life begins to unravel as reality and illusion blur.
