When he tests his methods on Jobe Smith (Jeff Fahey), a simple-minded gardener, the results are astonishing—turning Jobe into a genius with telepathic and telekinetic abilities. However, as his power grows, so does his thirst for domination, leading to terrifying consequences. Loosely inspired by a Stephen King short story (though vastly different from it), The Lawnmower Man became a cult favorite for its early CGI effects, trippy visuals, and eerie exploration of artificial intelligence gone wrong.
